Maddie & Tae Serve Up Revenge in ‘Shut Up & Fish’ Video
Maddie & Tae don't have time for boys that have more than just bass on their minds while on a fishing trip. The country duo's hilarious "Shut Up & Fish" video, which was directed by TK McKamy, takes revenge on an obnoxious selfie-taking boy who tries to steal kisses instead of baiting fish during a day on the lake.
“TK so gets us,” Tae says in a press release. “He’s a Southern guy. He knows how serious people who fish take it … and how annoyed Maddie and I get when people don’t get serious when we’re out on the lake! And he’s not afraid to show our sense of humor for all its worth.”
The video shows the girls getting revenge on a boy, played by Tae's brother Mason Dye, who isn't taking fishing seriously by sinking his boat in a lake.
“This really happened,” Maddie explains. “These guys asked us if we wanted to go fishing, but they had other things on their minds. If we hadn’t got a song out of it, it would’ve been a really good day of fishing wasted! Thankfully, TK got it, and created someone as funny as it was annoying the day it happened.”
"Shut Up & Fish" is the third single off Maddie & Tae's debut album Start Here.
