Maren Morris Collaborating With Zedd, Grey for New Song ‘The Middle’
Maren Morris fans are about to have some new music to keep them happy. The Grammy-winning singer-songwriter appears on a forthcoming single titled "The Middle" that will likely be a step in a different musical direction.
Morris posted the cover of the song to Instagram on Friday (Jan. 19), revealing that it will drop next Tuesday (Jan. 23). The song is a collaboration between Morris, Zedd and Grey, an electronic music duo composed of Kyle and Michael Trewartha.
Zedd is a Russian-born producer and artist who has worked with Alessia Cara, Ariana Grande, Justin Beiber and more, in addition to pursuing a successful solo career. Grey scored a hit with "Crime," a song from their debut EP, Chameleon, which debuted at No. 1 on the iTunes Dance/Electronic chart.

Morris is one of the most prominent younger artists in country music, scoring both critical acclaim and commercial success with her debut album, Hero. She's won a string of awards for her work, and recently scored her first No. 1 hit with her third single, "I Could Use a Love Song." Morris is no stranger to stepping outside of the confines of country music; she recently collaborated with Niall Horan on a song titled "Seeing Blind," and she will hit the road with the former One Direction singer in 2018 on his Flicker Tour.
