Meghan Linsey Brings Her ‘Girl Crush’ to ‘The Voice’ [Watch]

Meghan Linsey sang Little Big Town's "Girl Crush" during her turn on NBC's The Voice stage on Monday night. During rehearsals Blake Shelton called the song his favorite on the radio right now, and the former Steel Magnolia singer's version didn't damper his enthusiasm.

Linsey took Reba McEntire's advice and started soft, but her rendition still comes stronger than LBT vocalist Karen Fairchild's. The arrangements are similar, but Linsey is more soulful, so her notes tend to dangle a bit longer than found on the Pain Killer album.

The judges were more or less knocked over by Linsey yet again. "The only thing I don't like about you is that you're on Blake's team," Adam Levine said.

McEntire and Little Big Town also gushed over the performance.

Linsey is known as a soul singer on The Voice, despite her country success. That's not an accident. Last fall she hesitantly told Taste of Country she was exploring other genres. “I’m definitely riding that line and thinking I may get out of the country thing a little bit,” she said, months before her stint on the NBC show was public knowledge.

She's considered a favorite on the show, especially after her rendition of "A Natural Woman" last month. Now a finalist, the Team Blake member will be fighting for her spot on the show week after week.
