Mel McDaniel landed on the country chart more than 40 times throughout his career, but the singer is arguably most known for his classic 'Baby's Got Her Blue Jeans On,' which reached No. 1 in 1984. Despite his massive success as a recording artist and entertainer, our No. 79 choice for the Top 100 Country Songs list was McDaniel's only chart-topping single.

In an interview in 2009, country singer John Anderson admitted that both he and the legendary Conway Twitty passed up the opportunity to record the song. You know what they say... You win some, you lose some.
