Country newcomer Mo Pitney is officially taken! The singer popped the question to his beautiful girlfriend Emily, and judging by the new bling in a photo posted on Instagram, she said yes! Pitney wrote a touching caption in honor of his new fiancée.

"I couldn't be happier.. The Lord is just dumping love on me.. I watched Him form the woman I asked for on my knees.. I love this beautiful Jesus loving woman and I'm so excited for a lifetime of serving The Lord together," the singer says. "I'm overflowing with thankfulness for the future Emily Pitney."

The couple looks overjoyed in the picture, ready to take on the world together.

Now signed to Curb Records, Pitney has been gaining notoriety since the release of his debut single “Country” last year, which earned a slot in the Top 40 on the Billboard U.S. Country charts. His most recent release, “Boy and a Girl Thing," dropped Aug. 31 and is a testament to Pitney’s throwback style. A laid-back story of a blossoming romance, the tune shows off the singer’s low, smooth drawl.

Though he has yet to release a full-length record, Pitney also debuted “Come Do a Little Life,” a charming, upbeat love song in July 2015, and “Clean Up on Aisle Five,” a sentimental broken-hearted ballad, in March, gradually building a repertoire of artful tunes reflecting a maturity beyond his 22 years.

Pitney performed at the Grand Ole Opry for the first time last year, which he told Country Weekly was a surreal experience.

"I don’t know why, but I never thought I’d be qualified to actually play on the Grand Ole Opry. It never entered my mind,” he explained in his trademark humility. "I was just shocked when they called and asked me to be there. I played ‘Clean Up on Aisle Five’ and got a standing ovation.”

The artist says if all goes according to plan, he should have a full-length album out this fall.
