Most Heartwarming Moment of the Year – 2014 Taste of Country Awards
All five nominees for the Heartwarming Moment of the Year award at the 2014 Taste of Country Awards involve kids ... duh. Country artists go out of of their way to help children in need, turning up in the most surprising places. It's the only format where a dying girl can ask to get a phone call from her favorite singer and actually receive it.
Taylor Swift is nominated twice in this category, once for pulling Emma Routh out of the crowd during a show in North Carolina, and once for FaceTime chatting with 8-year-old Laney Brown. Darius Rucker warmed our hearts when he appeared on stage at a high school talent show to sing along with a boy with Down syndrome. The little girl that sang with Luke Bryan stole our hearts and earned herself and the 'Drink a Beer' singer a nomination. And finally, the crying baby who went viral for her reaction to her mother's singing scored a nod in this category.
Relive all five great moments and then decide who you think should win this award. Vote once every hour until the poll closes at 10AM ET on Tuesday, Feb. 11. Winners will be announced later that day. Taylor Swift won this award last year for writing the song 'Ronan.'
