The Grand Ole Opry has always been a special place for Trace Adkins, and not just because he's a member. In 2004, he announced that he and wife Rhonda were expecting a new baby girl (his fifth) the following year. But in 1996, the singer brought Rhonda on to the stage with him, and fell to a knee.

It happened on Nov. 23, 1996, according to CMT.com. Adkins was enjoying his very first performance at the Grand Ole Opry and had just finished singing 'Every Light In the House' when he invited Rhonda (then Rhonda Forlaw) onto the stage. He proposed marriage, and Forlaw said "yes." They were married early in 1997.
