Country fans are in for a real treat at FrogFest in Frankfort, N.Y. tomorrow, as singer Rodney Atkins revealed to Big Frog 104 that he will be debuting new music from his upcoming album at the show. And he's not just planning to perform the new single, 'Take a Back Road.' He's also going to perform other songs that no one has heard yet. It's going to be a Rodney Atkins bonanza at FrogFest!

Atkins revealed that he is still working on his new album, saying, "I am finishing up the vocals on the last couple tunes. It's moving a lot quicker. We always hoped that would happen." Atkins did not reveal a firm release date; in fact, he would only go as far as to muse that the album would probably be out in late summer.

Still, he is looking forward to letting FrogFesters sample these tunes because that's the best, most honest test for the power and the strength of a new song. "It's always fun to sing new songs. That's always a blast. We're gonna play some songs folks haven't heard yet. That's the real world. That's the best way to try the new songs," Atkins said.

If you're in the area, don't miss out on FrogFest! It takes place on Saturday, June 18 at 12PM at the Herkimer County Fairgrounds at 135 Cemetery Road in Frankfort, N.Y.
