Scotty McCreery is now a little easier to find on Twitter. The 'American Idol' winner announced recently that he's gained control of the @ScottyMcCreery handle, and has moved his account and followers to the new page. Previously, fans found McCreery at the 'Idol' issued @SMcCreeryAI10.

McCreery is currently on the American Idols Live Tour, and he's been keeping fans filled in on the fun he's having on and offstage. Last night he tweeted: "On the bus to houston, writing some jams with the fellas." And he celebrated an anniverary of sorts yesterday: "1 year ago, I auditioned for American Idol. 35 years ago Hank Aaron hit his last homerun. 42 years ago Neil Armstrong walked on the moon." Last Sunday, he watched the American women take on Japan in the World Cup soccer finals. "Abby Wambach for President!" he posted, in addition to a handful of other more emotional pleas for a U.S. victory.

It looks like a McCreery fan has picked up the @SMcCreeryAI10 handle. Despite his or her frequent disclaimers that the handle is only a fan's handle and not the real Scotty McCreery, fans of the singer are giving this individual a hard time. His/her latest posting was "@ScottyMcCreery I wanna say that if you ever want your old name  @SMcCreeryAI10 back, ask me and I'll give it back!!"

McCreery's real Twitter page is closing in on 300,000 followers, many of whom are anxious for his debut album to hit stores later this year. For now, the Walmart exclusive 'American Idol Season 10 Highlights' will have to be enough to quell Scotty fever.
