Slowly the layers of Shania Twain's comeback are being revealed. First she announced a residency in Las Vegas beginning in 2012, then revealed her new single 'Today is Your Day' in it's entirety during last Sunday's season finale of 'Why Not? with Shania Twain on the Oprah Winfrey Network. If you missed that episode, you also missed Twain's emotional performance with the legendary Lionel Richie.

Richie had to coax Twain into recording his hit 'Endless Love' with him as she initially didn't go for the idea. Diana Ross originally supplied the female voice to the 1981 hit. It's clear that once Twain agreed, she didn't hold anything back. In this video Twain closes her eyes and lets her emotions do the work. The two record the song in what looks like a beach house bedroom, maybe even Twain's bedroom. It was an appropriate song choice, as the season finale featured footage of Twain's wedding to Frédéric Thiébaud.

Richie has been popping up in country music circles with frequency lately, including a surprise performance with Darius Rucker at the Country Radio Seminar in Nashville last March and a duets album featuring Tim McGraw, Rucker, Blake Shelton and more. It's unclear if this song will be released digitally or be included on a new Shania Twain album. Aside from preparing for her show at Ceasar's Palace in Las Vegas, it's also unclear where Twain will pop up next.
