Wednesday afternoon, Shania Twain held a special press conference in Nashville where she announced she will be taking Las Vegas by storm next year when she headlines a series of concerts at Ceasars Palace. With Ceasars Palace representatives by the singers side, she streamed the press conference held at the Ford Theater inside the Country Music Hall of Fame live via her website.

Looking stunning in a white dress, Twain revealed the first performance from Vegas will take place December 1, 2012 at the Colosseum showroom inside Ceasars.

"Besides getting back onstage in the first place, I’m just looking forward to contact with the fans again," Twain said during the press conference. "I’m enjoying this so much, sitting around talking to all you today, and I know this is not a ‘fan’ crowd. But being able to connect directly with the fans during the show has always been a pleasure, and that’s probably what I’m looking forward to the most, above and beyond the live show itself."

Twain is the second country music superstar to take their show to Vegas. In December 2009, Garth Brooks struck up a deal with the Wynn Casino for a five-year run of performances at the Encore Theater. Twain’s performance will be the second large attraction to the Ceasars Palace, as she joins fellow diva Celine Dion who also performs at the Colosseum.

"My whole career is a series of competition after competition as a side of the industry," Twain said in regards to the many other high-profile acts who perform in Vegas. "I'm personally not a competitive person in that regard. I make my music and put it out there. I leave it up to the industry and worry about doing what I do."

"I’m going to go nuts creatively," she continued. "When I say ‘Go nuts,’ I mean unleash all that creativity the same way I would go about writing a song. There will be no boundaries and no perimeters. It's definitely going to be nuts, so I look forward to that [laughs]!"

Tickets to the shows will go on sale this evening when Twain announces the winner for Male Video of the Year at the 2011 CMT Music Awards. Information on how to order tickets will be revealed when the singer takes the stage. The CMT Music Awards airs live at 8:00PM ET.
