Sunny Sweeney is gearing up for the release of her new five-song EP on Republic Nashville in the first quarter of 2011, with the complete album's release to follow soon after. However, the singer-songwriter is already plotting moves for her next album, including getting a certain hitmaker to join her in the studio.

Having just recorded 'Good Hearted Woman' for 'The Music Inside: A Collaboration Dedicated to Waylon Jennings, Vol. I,' which was made into a duet with Jennings' widow, Jessi Colter, Sweeney is now itching to work with Dierks Bentley in the studio.

"The reason that I wanted to use my producer, Brett Beavers, is because of Dierks," Sweeney tells Taste of Country. "I love his music. We ended up using Brett who is the one Dierks has used up until this bluegrass record. I’d love to do a duet with Dierks someday. I think he’s awesome. He’s so cool and he really, really loves country, which to me says a lot."

Look for 'The Music Inside: A Collaboration Dedicated to Waylon Jennings, Vol. I' to hit stores on Feb. 8. Sweeney's latest single, 'From a Table Away,' is at radio now.
