The Highwomen only just announced their debut album on Friday (July 19), but they've been busy creating music. The supergroup of Brandi Carlile, Maren Morris, Amanda Shires and Natalie Hemby are featured in the trailer for a new movie, The Kitchen, covering the Fleetwood Mac classic "The Chain."

The four women's harmonies will send chills down your spine when paired with footage from The Kitchen, a new thriller starring Melissa McCarthy, Tiffany Haddish and Elisabeth Moss. The movie is set for release on Aug. 9, about one month before the Highwomen will drop their debut record, a self-titled project, on Sept. 6.

The Highwomen released their first single, "Redesigning Women," on Friday. The song's music video also features Cam, Kassi Ashton, Wynonna Judd, Tanya Tucker, Lauren AlainaCassadee Pope and other fellow female artists -- a testament to the quartet's desire to be a collective of strong women and allies, not just the four of them making music together.

"Almost all of us are mothers of young girls. And we all grew up listening to country music," Carlile explains. "We recognize that we're in a time right now where our daughters don't have the same country music heroes that we had.

"Our goal is simply to elevate all women and completely abandon the concept of competing with one another," she continues. "So that we can let as many women through the door as possible, and give our girls those country music heroes that we all had."
