Thomas Rhett has added a shiny new No. 1 to his resume this week, earning the top slot on both the Billboard U.S. Country Airplay and Mediabase radio charts with his latest single, “Crash and Burn.”

The gold-certified, hip-shaking tune is the lead-off track to his upcoming sophomore record Tangled Up, due out later this month, and marks his fourth consecutive No. 1 hit.

“’Crash' was a really fun way for me to introduce this album and for it to already be No. 1 is completely crazy,” says Rhett. “I want to give a huge thanks to everyone for taking a chance on this song and record so far — it’s just a piece of what makes up this new album and me, and I can’t wait to get the rest of it out there."

Rhett is nominated for CMA New Artist of the Year, which will be named at the live ceremony later this fall, hosted by Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley. He’s slated to headline a release party show Sept. 23 in Arlington, Texas just before the new record drops. The Tangled Up in Texas event will include a full show, plus an attempt at breaking a new world record for biggest Twister game.

Fans can buy the Tangled Up record next Friday, Sept. 25.
