The 2016 CMA Awards featured many songs on this list of the Top 40 Songs of November 2016. Miranda Lambert and Florida Georgia Line played their hits. So did Carrie Underwood and Luke Bryan.

Little Big Town played their new single on the CMAs, and on the strength of that performance plus strong interest on social media, "Better Man" scores a nice debut on this month's list. However, the top songs are more of a reflection of sales and radio airplay, plus critical acclaim.

Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean and newcomer Brett Young rank high on November's list of top songs, but the best song is a slow country waltz. Take a look, find your song and then decide where we got it right — and where we got it wrong.

The list of Top 40 Country Songs of November 2016 is compiled from Billboard chart data and sales figures, in addition to staff opinion and reader feedback.
