Trace Adkins' new single 'Watch the World End' topped another superstar single earlier this week, making for three straight wins. It will take five to get the duet with pop singer Colbie Caillat to the Hall of Fame. Today he's taking on a different kind of duo and their new ballad.

Love and Theft has released 'If You Ever Get Lonely' as the third single from their self-titled album, released in 2012. The song is a vocal showcase for the two men. It's a love song to someone who's moved away, and the singer's want her back. Their fans will have to decide if they want them back in Friday's Showdown. Adkins has proven tough to beat, but no giant is infallible.
