Vince Gill Helps 94-Year-Old Superfan Fulfill Her Bucket List [Watch]
Vince Gill made a longtime dream come true for a 94-year-old woman who had dreamed of seeing him live in concert as part of her bucket list.
Fox 17 Nashville reports that Sarah Darnell traveled from her home in Johnson City, Tenn., to Knoxville on Wednesday (Aug. 7) to see Gill perform at the Knoxville Civic Auditorium. Her caregiver, Savannah Rushing, accompanied Darnell, and they brought along a sign that read, "I'm 94. You're on my bucket list!"
A security guard approached the pair two songs into Gill's set and invited them to the front of the stage, where they could place the sign within Gill's eyeshot. In the video above, people in the crowd direct Gill's attention to the sign, which he then interrupts his show to point out and read to the audience.

"Oh my gosh," the disbelieving Darnell exclaims as the crowd cheers for her after Gill's introduction.
But Gill didn't stop there.
"It's a small world, baby. You were on mine, too!" he tells Darnell above, as the crowd goes wild.
Gill continued to speak with Darnell for a bit, asking when her birthday is. When he finds out she was born in 1925, he replies, "No kidding! You're the same age as my sweet mama. She'll turn 94 later this year, in the fall."

Rushing shot the video, and she says that after she stopped filming, Darnell yelled "I love you!" to Gill.
"I love you too, darlin'," he replied.
"Seriously last night was a dream come true for Sarah," Rushing shares. "Thank you, Vince Gill, for making a 94 year old's dreams come true."
Rushing also shared a series of photos from that night to Facebook:
Gill is set to release a new album, Okie, on Aug. 23. The Oklahoma native borrowed the title from a disparaging term that was previously used to deride Oklahomans who were forced to migrate to the West Coast during the Dust Bowl and the Great Depression. Gill hopes to re-define the term on the new album, which, according to a press release, "embraces his roots and explores some of the most important issues of our time."
