Wade Bowen Spills Exciting Details About Upcoming ‘Flyin’ Album
Wade Bowen was the latest guest on Taste of Country Nights, On Demand, where he revealed that he has a brand new studio album on the way.
Bowen is readying a full album release with a launch song, "Rainin on Me."
Flyin, the full project, will be released on May 10. This album is packed with some good ole' fashion honky-tonk country, per Bowen, but also gets sexy with some ballads, as well. "Rainin on Me" is included, of course, and Bowen is excited for that one especially.
"Man, I'm so excited about this song. It's a song I wrote with a buddy, Randy Montana, and man, I'm so lucky to call him a friend," he says.
"He's a great songwriter obviously, and we're buddies, and it's fun to get in the room with buddies, but also actually turn out with good songs."
Fans of Bowen who also fancy classic Eagles songs will notice a similarity to the legendary rock band.
"I got a lot of influences over the years growing up, but one of my biggest influences growing up was the Eagles, so I really just patterned a lot of this production on this track with my Eagles influence," he explains.
Bowen is a monster when it comes to performing live: He does more than 200 shows a year! He currently has a steady stream of festivals and tour dates lined up for the year, including a special run in May in his hometown of New Braunfels, Texas, alongside longtime friend and collaborator Miranda Lambert.
