Zac Brown Band vs. Reckless Kelly – Taste of Country March Bandness 2013, Round 1

The Zac Brown Band just added a Grammy to justify their position as one of the best country band of all time, but awards mean little in this fan-voted contest to decide which group will win March Bandness. Sixteen bands will be narrowed to just one champion. ZBB will have to get past Texas country stars Reckless Kelly to move on to Round 2. 

The 'Chicken Fried' singers came from the alt-country world to take Nashville by storm in 2008, and since then, they've released three of the finest albums you can spend your hard-earned money on. A streak of 10 Top 5 songs just recently ended, but that says nothing of the quality of the new music. On the radio or onstage, the Zac Brown Band ensemble are entertainers.

Reckless Kelly has been around longer, with albums dating back 15 years and an expanding fanbase that wants to show the world how talented this group is. They may be seen as underdogs to the mainstream country fan, but this is not a group ZBB fans should take for granted.

Fans are allowed to vote once every hour. Any voter found to be outpacing that rule will be deemed ineligible, forfeiting their votes. Voting for the Round 1 matchups will end on Sunday, March 17 at 11:59PT ET.

The overall March Bandness winner for 2013 be announced on April 8, the day of the NCAA national championship basketball game.
