Imagine if Alan Jackson wandered into your local karaoke bar, took the mic and knocked out a version of Johnny Cash's most iconic song, 'Ring of Fire.'  You'd be pretty psyched, right? Well, you can recreate that experience in your own home or vehicle with Jackson's recent hit version of the country classic, taken from his new greatest hits collection, '34 Number Ones.'

Jackson sings in casually assured drawl throughout, and his backing band never forces the music to boil over, instead holding strong at a steady simmer and letting the classic lyrics illustrate the suffering of the song's lovestruck protagonist:

"I fell into a burning ring of fire / I went down down down and the flames went higher / And it burns burns burns / The ring of fire."

'34 Number Ones' celebrates Jackson's 20 years as a chart-topping performer by collecting all of his No. 1 hits onto two discs for the first time. He is scheduled to tour Canada and Australia in February and March of 2011, and a new studio album is expected from him next year as well.
