'American Idol' favorite Lauren Alaina said that her personal idol is none other than Canadian country queen Shania Twain, so the teen offered up her twangy rendition of Twain's 'Any Man of Mine.' Despite a good performance, Alain's slightly flat delivery left the judges lukewarm. That's when the judges told her that she needs to up the ante and show them and America what she is truly made of.

"I love that song, I wish it had been a little bit more kick a--," said Steven Tyler. Jennifer Lopez echoed his sentiments, saying, "You don't have to try. You're that good, but you have to kick it into high gear and really, really go there. This is it. The competition starts today. We love you."

Randy Jackson told Alaina that while she "sang it well," they want to see and hear "that girl we first saw." Jackson continued, "You can sing this. You can sing anything."

Alaina was visibly bummed about the constructive criticism, saying, "I mean, I had a good time. I didn't want to do a ballad because that's what everybody does."

This Georgia peach was christened "The One" in the early stages, and now it's time for her really let her hair down.
