Brad Paisley begins his Beat This Summer Tour next month in St. Louis, Mo., and he says he's excited to get to know openers Lee Brice and Chris Young. "I'm a fan," he tells Taste of Country Nights radio. Of course, given the 'Beat This Summer' singer's history of mischievousness, they should be worried about what he has in mind when he says he wants to "get to know" them.

"If anybody gets to know their tourmates, it's me," Paisley said laughing. "I could have been a spy, I really could have worked for the CIA I think," he added later, referring to some of the more memorable pranks he's been a part of over the years.

Shenanigans aside, Paisley really does appreciate becoming friends with his opening acts. They often go go-cart racing, rent out movie theaters or play bars until late in the night after shows. Along the way he gives them advice or encouragement.

"That's one of the most rewarding things about my career so far, are the opening acts that we've taken out with us who have gone on … to do amazing things." Recent Paisley opening acts include Scotty McCreery, the Band Perry, Kellie Pickler and Taylor Swift.

Brice and Young both have a catalog of hits that fans will already know when they enter the venue. Paisley says he likes both guys' music and is eager to get to know them on a personal level. We think they should heed our warning.
