Brantley Gilbert Remembers His Late Father-in-Law in Sweet Way
Brantley Gilbert may have a tough exterior, but the singer is all heart when it comes to his family. On Friday (Jan. 25), his wife, Amber, shared a photo that made it clear just how kind and loving Gilbert truly is.
The photo shows off a beautiful bouquet of flowers, and Amber explains that they are to help her through a very tough day—apparently, her late dad's birthday.
We all know it's difficult marking birthdays and other important dates relating to those we love who have died. Gilbert thoughtfully took care of this, however. Amber calls the bouquet a "sweet surprise" from her husband, and adds, "He’s doing some awesome work today in Memphis and couldn’t be with me on one of the harder days of the year. Happy Birthday to my daddy. I know it’s a good one up there for you!"
Meanwhile, Gilbert was putting his chops to use at The Country Cares for St. Jude Kids Radio Seminar in Memphis, meeting kids who are bravely fighting for their lives. We're sure his father-in-law is looking down proudly! Since the seminar was founded, country radio stations have raised more than $800 million for the hospital.
Gilbert is currently working on a new album, with no release date revealed as of yet. He has released "What Happens in a Small Town," a duet with Lindsay Ell.
