Carrie Underwood Celebrates Son Isaiah’s Second Birthday With Adorable Pic
Two years ago, Carrie Underwood and husband Mike Fisher welcomed their first child into the world. The singer has shared her journey of motherhood with fans via social media, and yesterday (Feb. 27) was no different as she celebrated her son Isaiah's second birthday.
Underwood posted a sweet message for Isaiah's birthday and also shared photos of his delicious birthday cake on Instagram.
“Where did two years go? My angel is getting so big,” she writes. “On one hand, it’s so fun to see him learn and grow but on the other, it’s all happening so fast! Happy birthday, little monkey! You are my world…my heart…and I thank God for you each and every day! The two years you have been on this earth have been the best of our lives! Mommy and Daddy love you so much!"
Underwood treated her son to a Cookie Monster-themed birthday cake from her friend Ivey Childers' bakery. In two photos, fans can get a sneak peak at the cake before Underwood and her family celebrated the occasion.

"...and it tasted even better than it looked, if that's at all imaginable! Yummy!!! Thanks Auntie @iveychilders and @iveycakestore for this delicious creation!" she writes.
This is just one of the many instances the singer has shared a glimpse into her life with fans. Last week, Underwood shared an adorable video of herself and Isaiah in the car singing "Jesus Loves Me." In the short Instagram clip, Isaiah is turned backward in his car seat in the back seat. As Underwood is singing, “Yes, Jesus loves me,” her little boy tries his best to mimic his mother's words.
Underwood is taking some time off in 2017 after a whirlwind 2016.
“Right now, I’m kind of in the process of remembering what it’s like to be human and getting into the mom routine and going to some hockey games and stuff like that,” she said at the Grammy Awards in February. “I figure I’ll start working on new stuff at some point. I’ll get the itch and I’ll be like OK, I need to go be creative.”
