Chris Janson Giving Thanks for Second No. 1 Hit, ‘Fix a Drink’

Cheers to Chris Janson! The rising country star is celebrating his second No. 1 hit with "Fix a Drink."

The lead single from Janson's current album, Everybody, tops the Country Aircheck / Mediabase chart this week, and it's also earned more than 20 million on-demand streams since its release in May. "Fix a Drink" follows his breakthrough single, "Buy Me a Boat," to the top of the charts.

"Having a hit on country radio is a huge blessing – it’s Thanksgiving week, and I’m extremely thankful," Janson says in a press release. "Reaching my country fans through radio has always been a dream of mine. Thanks for allowing me to make my dreams come true."

Janson co-wrote "Fix a Drink" with Chris Janson, Chris DuBois and Ashley Gorley. The song's simple, fun lyric proposes a solution to all of the turmoil that's been going in the world over the course of the last year.

"I turn on Fox news and then CNN / But it's the same dang thing all over again / The world's in the toilet and the market's in the tank / Well I can't fix that, no / But I can fix a drink, pour it on ice / Mix it on up and getcha feeling right ..." Janson sings.

Janson spent a large chunk of the year on the road with Sam Hunt on his 15 in a 30 Tour, and he's been on the 2017 leg of his own The Everybody Tour, which continues in December.
