Chris Lane stopped by the Taste of Country Nights studio to chat about his new single, "Fix." Lane admits he was instantly hooked on the song, but was also intimidated by those high notes.

Lane's debut single shows just how vocally talented the handsome singer is, but he wasn't sure he could even sing it! When he heard the demo, he figured he may as well try it (and, boy, are we glad he did!).

“‘Fix,’ definitely when I first heard the demo of that song it was kind of intimidating because of the high falsetto parts," he says. "It was one of those things. I got into the vocal booth and wasn’t sure I could do it or how well I could do it. There was something about the song that I really took to.”

Lane will be hitting the road soon to support Dustin Lynch on tour. The two have been friends since before they were famous, but Lane is looking forward to learning from Lynch in a mentor-type way.

“He’s great," Lane gushes. "I’m super thankful that he chose me to go out on tour with him. It’s gonna be one of those things where I can learn from him every single night, when I finish with my set, I’ll be standing on side of the stage … and really just learning.”

"Fix" is from Lane's EP of the same title, and it's available on iTunes.

Sam Alex is the host of Taste of Country Nights radio, a syndicated night show which airs on more than 60 Townsquare Media Group stations nationwide.
