Watch a Trailer for ‘Music City,’ a New Nashville Show From ‘The Hills’ Creators
A new reality series set in Nashville is the latest project from Adam DiVello, the creator of Laguna Beach and The Hills. Titled Music City, CMT's unscripted show follows a group of young, emerging artists attempting to break into the music industry, all the while balancing their personal lives and relationships.
The show will air alongside CMT and Lionsgate's scripted hit Nashville and is set to debut in January 2018. Music City marks DiVello's first return to TV since The Hills wrapped in 2010.
“Music has always played a huge role in the storytelling process of my past series,” he says in a statement. “With Music City, we’ll take that element to another level, as we document the real-life struggles, heartaches and drama of those chasing their dreams of stardom."
“Nashville is such an exciting city and I can’t wait to share with the world the stories of this incredibly talented cast we’ve put together," he adds. Intrigued about how this show will play out? Us too.
Season 5 of CMT's Nashville wrapped in August. Earlier this year it was announced that the show had been picked up for a sixth season on its new network — previously it lived on ABC. A 16-episode run will begin in January 2018.
