Dolly Parton’s ‘An Evening With … Dolly’ Cracker Barrel Exclusive Certified Gold

Dolly Parton has scored yet another first in her iconic career. Her two-disc set, 'An Evening With ... Dolly,' has been certified gold by the RIAA just four weeks after its release, making the CD/DVD combo the first Cracker Barrel Old Country Store exclusive collection to do so. The feat also marks the first certification for Dolly Records -- Parton's own imprint album -- in the United States.

"I’m thrilled that so many fans are listening to my songs and taking a look behind-the-scenes of my European tour," says Parton (quote via Webster PR). “I had a wonderful time performing in London and I think the audience did too. It’s exciting to be able to share my experiences with Cracker Barrel fans. And I have to tell you, I’m even more excited that 'An Evening With ... Dolly' earned the first gold in the Cracker Barrel exclusive music program. That’s just icing on the cake.”

The 'An Evening With ... Dolly' set chronicles the singer's sold-out O2 arena concert in London, transporting viewers to a front row seat to watch Parton perform some of her most popular songs, including 'Coat of Many Colors,' '9 to 5' and 'I Will Always Love You.' The DVD experience captures Parton interacting with the audience and sharing stories about growing up in the Smokey Mountains of Tennessee.
