Could Dolly Parton be on the next country star to jump into an "Old Town Road" remix? Lil Nas X has already asked, and it seems the country legend may be interested?

In a tweet to his followers, rapper-turned-viral-country-star proposed: "Y’all think I can get Dolly Parton and Megan Thee Stallion on a 'Old Town Road' remix?"

He didn't tag Parton or rapper Megan Thee Stallion, but the "Jolene" megastar saw it — and responded. Parton tweeted tagging Nas, with a horse and unicorn emoji. She also edited his "Old Town Road" remix single artwork to make one of the horses pink — her signature color.

Nas was thrilled at her response, writing back: "Yee Yee gang!" with three horse emojis and a heart emoji.

Lil Nas X and Country's Hip-Hop Love Affair

The collaboration would make sense, even if unexpected. Parton is Miley Cyrus' godmother, and is close with the Cyrus family. Billy Ray Cyrus was the first artist to be featured on an official "Old Town Road" remix — he could be credited with giving cred to the track in country circles. Miley Cyrus even brought Billy Ray and Nas out to perform the song during her set at the Glastonbury Music Festival in June.

The first "Old Town Road" remix (with Cyrus) has sold more than 10 million singles to date. It just reached its fifteenth week as No. 1 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart, beating out Bruno Mars' historic No. 1 run with "Uptown Funk."

Nas just debuted the music video for his second remix of the song, which still features Cyrus, plus the addition of Young Thug and "Lil Hank Williams," fellow viral star Mason Ramsey. The video shows animated versions of the four as they enter Area 51.
