Remember What Florida Georgia Line Almost Called Themselves?
Florida Georgia Line are called overnight successes, but in reality their work together began three years before 'Cruise' hit radio. For a long time Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard struggled with what to call their duo, and the name they stuck with was not their first choice.
Originally FGL was going to be known as Orange Peach, another nod to the states they were raised in. It's possible that if they'd stuck with that we'd accept it as we have other unusual names like Lady Antebellum, but an informal poll of Taste of Country staffers showed the 'Dirt' singers went with the better of the two choices. Watch the video above to learn even more about Tyler and Brian, and to hear music from Tyler's very first musical outfit, a mid-00s hip-hop act called Ingenious Circuit.
