Garth Brooks Bringing World Tour to West Virginia
Garth Brooks will bring his ongoing world tour to West Virginia in October.
The country superstar and wife Trisha Yearwood have announced a single concert date at the Charleston Civic Center on Saturday, Oct. 22 at 7PM. The show will mark the first time Brooks has performed in that market in 19 years.
Brooks emerged from a long self-imposed retirement at the end of 2014 to launch his enormous comeback tour, which has sold out multiple nights in many of the markets it has played. The tour kickoff coincided with his first studio album in more than a decade, Man Against Machine, and the launch of his self-owned digital music service, GhostTunes, through which the superstar made his entire catalog available digitally for the first time.
In August of 2016 Brooks announced that he had departed Sony after just one album, and will release his next studio album via his own Pearl Records, which will also release the Christmas album he recorded with Yearwood. He is sharing the recording of his new album via Facebook with a weekly series called Inside Studio G, where he recently revealed two new songs, "Live Again" and "Lay Down and Dance."
Tickets for Brooks' concert in Charleston will go on sale exclusively via Ticketmaster on Friday, Sept. 16 at 10AM ET, with an eight-ticket limit per purchase. Tickets are available online or by calling Ticketmaster Express at 1-866-448-7849 or 1-800-745-3000. There will be no ticket sales at the venue box office or Ticketmaster outlets on Sept. 16. All seats will cost a total of $74.98.
