Get a Sneak Peek at George Strait’s Hurricane Benefit With Miranda Lambert
George Strait and some of his all-star friends have been rehearsing for the Hand in Hand Hurricane benefit, set to air Tuesday night (Sept. 12), and the country legend has shared some of the behind-the-scenes footage online.
In the sneak peek clip above, which Strait posted to Facebook on Monday (Sept. 11), Strait rehearses his hit "All My Ex's Live in Texas" onstage at the Majestic Theatre in San Antonio. Miranda Lambert, Chris Stapleton, Lyle Lovett and Robert Earl Keen share the stage with the icon, all dressed casually to rehearse the country classic.
"We're here at the Majestic Theatre gettin' ready for some rehearsin' ... which we don't need a lot of, but we're going to do it anyway," the superstar says slyly.

From the sound of the rehearsals, the song is shaping up to be one of the highlights from the Hand in Hand benefit, which is set to air on Tuesday night at 8PM ET across the four major networks and CMT. Blake Shelton and Reese Witherspoon are slated to co-host the Nashville portion of the hour-long show.
Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, former Nashville star Connie Britton, Keith Urban‘s wife Nicole Kidman and Shelton's girlfriend Gwen Stefani will also join the broadcast, which will air live from the Grand Ole Opry, Universal Studios in California and Times Square in New York City, as well as include Strait's San Antonio show.
The concert has been expanded to include relief for Florida and the islands in the wake of Hurricane Irma. The United Way, Habitat for Humanity, Feeding Texas and Comic Relief USA are among the seven charities who will benefit from proceeds from the show. Phone and text lines will be announced at the beginning of the broadcast on CMT, ABC, CBS, Fox and NBC. The event will also stream internationally on Facebook and Twitter.
Dustin Lynch is also performing a Hurricane Harvey benefit show in Dallas on Sept. 12. That separate event is not part of the Hand in Hand benefit.
