Lately there has been some online chatter about a new website that has randomly popped up called IHateGeorgeStrait.com.

Sounds blasphemous, right? But look closer and you'll see that this is more tribute than trolling.

Who's Behind 'I Hate George Strait' Website?

After getting over the initial shock that there is such a website that appears to be defaming the King of Country Music, you'll see pretty quickly that the people behind it are musicians themselves, Tim and Taylor.

The message that appears as soon as you get to the page is a disappearing popup that says "The following message is brought to you by people who actually love George Strait very much."

That then leads you to a timer counting down to Friday, June 12th. Once you click on that, there is a preview of a new song that drops next week, presumably called "I Hate George Strait."

The verse that is available to preview goes like this:

"He said our first dance we danced to 'Carried Away' / She knew every word as we swayed / 'I Cross My Heart' was our wedding song / I just can't believe she's gone / Now every time I hear 'em it hurts / He said I hate George Strait because it makes me think of her..."

The song does remind me of the Scotty McCreery No. 1 song, "Damn Strait," which shares a similar theme of disliking certain Strait songs due to the fact that an ex-lover loved them.

Who Are Tim & Taylor?

They're a real-life married couple, not just musical partners. They perform as Tim & Taylor, a country duo based in Nashville that's toured extensively.

Some of their songs include "Whatcha Say We Don't" and "Asking For a Friend."

PICTURES: Look Inside George Strait's Spectacular Mansion

George Strait has sold his one-of-a-kind mansion in Texas, and it was actually a real deal. The country legend asked $6.9 million for his 7,925-square-foot home that includes three bedrooms, four full bathrooms and two half-baths on a hilltop in a very exclusive area of San Antonio. The final selling price was not disclosed.

The house sits on 12.2 acres and includes a gourmet kitchen, separate his and her bathrooms and closets and 14 hand-sculpted masonry fireplaces. The main house is wired for surround sound throughout, and it also features outdoor living spaces including a patio with built-in grill, sink, icemaker and refrigerator. There's also an infinity pool/spa and a sports court, a workout room with a private bathroom and sauna, and a walk-in safe room.
