Bates announced via Twitter on Saturday (Feb. 15) that he popped the question to his singer-songwriter girlfriend, Shelley Skidmore -- and she said yes!

With a proposal set in a quaint chapel decorated with lit candles and a heart of rose petals, it's clear that the 'Did It for the Girl' singer is a romantic at heart. The bride-to-be took to her own Twitter account later that same day to show off Bates' great taste in jewelry:

While the couple hasn't announced any details for their upcoming nuptials, Bates is already getting ready for the big day.
