Jason Aldean will take the stage of the CMT Music Awards tonight with rapper Ludacris, and it should make a little bit of history. Sure, on paper, it's an unlikely pairing that should yield results that are nothing short of explosive.

Ryan Seacrest reported earlier today that Aldean and Luda, who both hail from the great state of Georgia, will perform Aldean's hit single 'Dirt Road Anthem' -- but with a twist.

Apparently, Ludacris has rewritten the second verse of the song, so he will add his own hot, hip-hop flavor to it during the live performance. Tonight will see the premiere of a custom, brand-new version of 'Dirt Road Anthem,' if you think about it, so be sure and tune in. We have to applaud Aldean and Ludacris for pulling out all the stops with their onstage collaboration and doing something unique in the form of a retooled verse. This performance certainly makes our "can't miss" list tonight.

Aldean leads this year's nominees, as he's up for four 2011 CMT Awards. The show airs tonight at 8PM on the network and on CMT.com. Stay tuned to Taste of Country for full coverage of the event.
