St. Jude Names Artists for John Rich and Friends Charity Concert
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital has announced the lineup for their fourth-annual St. Jude Presents John Rich and Friends charity concert.
Joining Rich — a longtime supporter of the hospital's mission to cure kids with devastating diseases free of charge — will be his Big & Rich bandmate Big Kenny, Frankie Ballard, Lee Greenwood, Lorrie Morgan, T.G. Sheppard, John Conlee and comedians Williams & Ree.
Taking place June 9 at the Cannon Center for the Performing Arts in Memphis, the event is billed as an evening of songs, stories and hope, and will also serve as the kickoff event to the 2015 FedEx St. Jude Classic golf tournament week.
All proceeds will go directly to the hospital, helping to ensure "families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food, because all a family should worry about is helping their child live."
"I’m incredibly proud that the St. Jude Presents John Rich and Friends charity event has grown into an amazing entertainment event over the past four years, while continuing to support the kids of St Jude Children’s Research Hospital,” says Rich. “It’s a blessing to be part of an industry that has supported St. Jude so passionately for the past 30 years.”
Big & Rich are currently touring in support of their latest album, Gravity. The project's first single, "Look at You," hit No. 7 on Billboard's country airplay chart.
Tickets to St. Jude Presents John Rich and Friends are available now and range from $40-$80 each.
