Josh Kelley and Katherine Heigl Adopt Second Daughter
Josh Kelley and Katherine Heigl are the proud parents of one daughter, 3-year-old Naleigh ,who they adopted from South Korea. Now the couple have reportedly expanded their family with the adoption of another little girl.
The news was confirmed by Heigl's rep Jill Fritzo to People, though the Fritzo didn't give away any of the details -- like a name -- just yet, saying only, “Yes they have adopted a baby. No further details [are available] at this time.”
The second adoption doesn't come as a huge surprise, as both stars have casually mentioned wanting to grow their family. Earlier this year, Heigl told People that she and Kelley knew they wanted to adopt one day even before they were engaged. “We have talked about having biological children as well, but we decided to adopt first. I’d like to adopt again,” she said.
In an interview with Taste of Country in February, Kelley responded to his wife's quote, saying, “We want to do that and we will eventually. Right now we’re just kind of actively on top of it.”
Actively is putting it lightly. That was was two months ago, and now, the small family has gotten just a little bit bigger. Though he's been home for a bit working on his next album, Kelley -- whose brother is Lady Antebellum singer Charles Kelley -- said he has plans to hit the road again this summer. His first single from his new record is the song 'Naleigh Moon' about his daughter, appropriately. He'll have to get his pen to paper as soon as possible so that the new arrival has a tune, also.
We're excited to hear more about the little girl that has become the newest addition to the adorable and talented young family!
