Josh Thompson Brings a Custom-Made Walnut Guitar to Tonight’s Taste of Country Concert in Buffalo
From the sound of his interview with WYRK DJ John LaMond, Josh Thompson is more than ready to share the stage with Josh Turner and the other country stars at the Buffalo, N.Y. station's Taste of Country concert tonight, June 3. In fact, he's got a special custom-made guitar that he seems pretty excited to show off at the event.
"I love Gibson, but I've recently got hooked up with Waldron [Instruments], a father and son team that just kind of works out of their shop," he explains. "It takes them about 90 days, they do it out of all sorts of strange woods."
How exotic are we talking here? Well, for example, take the one he's bringing to the show tonight: "I've got one that's all walnut." Hopefully, no squirrels will be roaming around before Thompson's set! He'll join Turner, Chris Young, Chuck Wicks and Easton Corbin at the Coca Cola Field in beautiful downtown Buffalo. If you're nearby and would like to enjoy the show, there's still a few tickets available from the station's official web site.
