It's been a decade since Josh Turner released his debut single 'Long Black Train.' As he prepares his next album, fans will find that the singer's new sound is a contrast to the style he introduced in 2003, but he still remains true to his traditional country roots.

Turner tells Taste of Country Nights host Sam Alex he's constantly adapting to make sure his sound fits on modern country radio. 'Lay Low' is his latest single, released to radio this month. The proud papa of four says the song was a long time coming, but well worth the wait.

The 36-year-old Turner also talks about his love for the Atlanta Braves baseball team and his somewhat strange first thought when he saw now-wife Jennifer for the very first time in class at Belmont University. Listen to his full interview below to also find out what he'd give up his singing voice for.

Sam Alex is the host of Taste of Country Nights radio, a syndicated night show which airs on more than 60 Townsquare Media Group stations nationwide.
