Kelly Clarkson was really feeling her performance of "Love So Soft" on Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve 2018 on Sunday night (Dec. 31).

With a team of horns and just the right amount of sass, Clarkson delivered a strong performance of the catchy song live from the Los Angeles broadcast of the New Year's Eve show. The superstar hit all the right notes, her voice sounding as powerful as ever as she belted out the song's sultry lyric: "Love so soft, you ain't had nothing softer / Break it then you buy it and it sure gonna cost ya / Love so soft that you can't rub off / You gon' love it if you try it."

The energy from the stage spilled over into the audience — the cameras didn't find a single person not singing along and dancing with enthusiasm.

While Clarkson took over the stage in Hollywood, Sugarland were representing country music in Times Square, performing a medley of their hits like "Stuck Like Glue" and "Something More" during Dick Clark's beloved show. Florida Georgia Line also took the stage with Hailee Steinfeld, singing their latest collaborative hit "Let Me Go."

Meanwhile, Keith Urban was holding down the home turf in Nashville with a headlining show, during which he paid special tribute to icons who've died in 2017, including Glen Campbell, Montgomery Gentry's Troy Gentry, Chuck Berry and Tom Petty. His wife Nicole Kidman also made an appearance onstage, dancing along while Urban led the crowd in a chorus of Petty's "Free Falling."
