Kyle Park, Cory Morrow + More Cancel Shows Due to Icy Conditions Down South

'Snowmageddon 2011' is wrecking havoc on the southern states -- and for music fans in icy Texas, the unusual winter storm is causing some additional damage. Texas country stars Cory Morrow and Kyle Park have both announced show cancellations around the state, while Stoney LaRue is snowed in and stranded in Oklahoma.

For those in the north, temperatures in the teens may not seem like a big deal -- but when a wintry mix hits the Lone Star State, the whole things shuts down. "For everyone's safety the show tonight at Brewster Street Icehouse has been rescheduled for March 24th. See you then!!" Cory Morrow tweeted Thursday, announcing that his Corpus Christi, Texas show has been canceled due to the weather.

Fellow Texas country star Kyle Park faced similar issues further north, "Our show tomorrow night in Denton has been cancelled due to bad weather," he said yesterday. Denton -- which sits an hour north of Dallas -- is currently iced over, with additional snow showers expected tonight and tomorrow.

Stoney LaRue -- who has tour dates all across Texas this week -- found himself in a tricky snow situation near his Oklahoma home when he tried to head out for a show in Kansas. "Can't even get out of Rose Creek! I have a four-wheel drive and it wouldn't get through the first four-foot drift on the road. Might try again in a bit," LaRue begrudgingly announced on his Twitter page, adding, "It sickens me to miss gigs! This weather will not prevail another day!" LaRue is scheduled to play in Wichita Falls, Texas tonight and Terrell, Texas tomorrow.

Meanwhile, in Austin, the Bart Crow Band are being held back by both bad weather and baby-watching, as frontman Bart Crow and his wife anxiously await the arrival of their first child. "Mark McKinney will be picking up our slack @ The Wormy Dog in OKC Saturday ... We will re-schedule as soon as Bart's baby gets here," the band announced on its Facebook page Wednesday.

Texas' winter weather is expected to return to its usual February temperature of 60 degrees by Sunday.
