Before Grammy award-winning act Lady Antebellum took the stage for their performance at the 2011 CMT 'Artists of the Year' Awards, a video montage showed Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley, Taylor Swift and Jason Aldean offering up their congratulations to the trio. Paisley joked about how much he loved Lady A and how "she is so unique and fun," eventually taking on a straight face and saying, "I’m just kidding. I actually love those guys ... It’s like pollen in Nashville in the Spring – it’s on everything … no matter what you do.”

Then, Rob Lowe introduced the trio, noting that they've been able to elude the title of one hit wonders, adding, "Lady A has got legs, and if you need proof, here it comes.”

Lady A strummed their way into 'Dancin' Away With My Heart' from this year's release, 'Own the Night.' All three sat casually on stools, with Charles Kelley in the middle, Hillary Scott on the left in a swanky black strapless dress and Dave Haywood strumming a cherry guitar on the right. With their stripped-down, acoustic song, Lady A eschewed the stage antics and simply let their tight harmonies take center stage -- and the result was beautiful.

After the crowd went wild with approval, a video clip of Ellen DeGeneres cued up, with the funny lady offering her congratulations and her memories of the band making their television debut on her show. "It's me, Lady Ellen," she said with her usual playfulness. "I'm a fan and a friend -- I'm a fand."
