Laura Bell Bundy to Help Haiti With 24-Hour Dance Marathon
Laura Bell Bundy's latest single isn't called 'Two Step' for nothing. The country songstress has some serious dancing skills, and she's about to use them to help provide food for orphans in Haiti.
Bundy will join Bobby Bones, the host of the nationally-syndicated radio program the Bobby Bones Show, in a 24-hour dance marathon beginning on Wednesday (Sept. 18) at 7AM CT. All proceeds from the marathon will go to 30 Abes, a nonprofit organization created to feed Haitian orphans.
The 'Two Step' hitmaker will join Bones on the dance floor at aVenue in Nashville, where her latest single will play on repeat for 24 hours. If all goes according to plan, Bundy will stay upright and dance around the clock.
“It’s wonderful to have an opportunity to give back with ‘Two Step,’" Bundy says (quote via GACTV). “Dancing for donations! We are going to have a lot of fun in the process -- and probably some lower back pain!”
Bobby Bones, on the other hand, isn't as enthusiastic about his own dancing skills. "I’m a terrible dancer, but I love raising money for good causes!” the deejay jokes. “I can’t wait to get my ‘Two Step’ on!”
If you're in the Nashville area, you can attend the event and even lace up your own pair of dancing shoes for a few hours. If you can't make it out on the dance floor in person, you can watch Two Step for 30 Abes on livestream by clicking here.
