Lauren Alaina was cute and confident during her appearance on 'Good Morning America' on Tuesday morning. The singer -- whose debut album 'Wildflower' is now in stores and online -- chatted with Robin Roberts before performing her new single, 'Georgia Peaches.' She later closed the show with a performance of 'Like My Mother Does.'

Before singing, the 16-year-old gushed about songwriter Mallory Hope and the lyrics she'd penned for 'Georgia Peaches.' "They're really true to who I am as a person, and they fit who I am as an artist," Alaina said, adding that Hope grew up 20 minutes away from her. The 'American Idol' runner-up wraps her arms around this sassy, uptempo rocker. It's the most fun she's had o stage yet.

In November, Alaina turns 17-years-old. That's the legal age for adulthood in her home state of Georgia, she told Roberts. "My mom is worried," she said, joking. There probably isn't too much to fear, however. Even when she is able to find some time to go home and be a teenager, she can't go far. Alaina still doesn't have her drivers license. She's had to sit back and watch her father drive the fire engine red Ford Mustang she earned on 'American Idol.'
