Lauren Alaina Accepts Marriage Proposal

While signing autographs for fans in Providence, R.I., 'American Idol' runner-up Lauren Alaina was asked a very important question: "Will you marry me?"

Alaina, looking uber cute and stylish in tailored, brown leather shorts and wedges, was plunking down her John Hancock for happy fans. That's when the adorable Zack Tremblay boldly went in for the kill. He approached Alaina, 16, and said, "I don't have a ring, but will you marry me?" He got on one knee and looked up adoringly at the 'Like My Mother Does' singer.

While not having suitable bling to offer up when popping the question is a major no-no, the fact that Tremblay got on one knee and did so in front of an audience effectively canceled out the lack of ring. It was too cute.

Alaina looked shocked as she backed up, asking, "Um, what's your name first? Are you serious?" She then conceded and accepted the proposal on one condition. She said, "I'll marry you for tonight, but just for tonight." Tremblay, 17, was fine with that stipulation, saying, "Then you can move onto the next one."

Alaina and her fiance embraced, celebrating their one day union! Kids these days.
