Lauren Alaina Asks Hunter Hayes to Be Her Prom Date

Now that it's pretty clear that Lauren Alaina and Scotty McCreery aren't an item, the 'Like My Mother Does' star can't seem to keep quiet about who she's crushing on. A few weeks ago, Alaina came right out with it: She has a crush on fellow young country crooner Hunter Hayes. And in a new interview with 100.7 the Wolf, the 16-year-old songstress learned that the feeling might be mutual, so she decided to ask Hayes to her high school prom.

"Yeah, I've heard of him," Alaina said coyly when the DJ asked if she knew about Hayes. Given that she's made her lust for him very public, the radio hosts had a field day with her comment. But while the DJs went back and forth about Alaina's crush, she grew impatient. "Anyway, what did he say?" she asked, interrupting their jokes. They told the teen country star that when they told Hayes about her crush on him, he admitted that he thinks she's beautiful and has an amazing voice to boot.

On the other end of the phone, the host teased the 'American Idol' runner-up with audio from Hayes' interview, which caused her to call him out. "You're lying. Play it -- pull it out -- let's hear it," Alaina said, even offering him a little monetary incentive. "I'll give you $50!"

"He's worried that your parents are gonna be a little upset and that you have a curfew," the DJ taunted. To which she responded quickly and smartly, "Well, he better not break it!"

Finally, she made a public invitation. She said, directing her attention to the 'Storm Warning' singer, "All right, Hunter, if you wanna go to the prom with me it's an open invitation."

While Hayes hasn't responded yet, as far as we know, we just hope Alaina didn't scare him off with her daddy's girl comments -- or the fact that she has a poster of him hanging in her tour bus.
