Little Big Town Performing at the 2018 Grammy Awards
The first round of performers at the 2018 Grammy Awards have been announced, and Little Big Town are among the artists slated to take the stage.
The celebrated country vocal group were announced as one of the Grammys performers on Thursday morning (Dec. 4) along with current nominee Childish Gambino, Grammy winner and current nominee Lady Gaga and Grammy winner and current nominee Pink. LBT are also previous Grammy winners and current nominees; they are nominated for Best Country Album for The Breaker, as well as Best Country Duo/Group Performance for "Better Man" in 2018. "Better Man" also scored a Best Country Song nomination, which would go to songwriter Taylor Swift if it wins.
James Corden is set to host the Grammy Awards in 2018, and the broadcast will feature some very special moments to mark the awards show's 60th year. The show returns to New York City for the first time in 15 years in 2018, taking place at Madison Square Garden. The ceremony will mark its return to NYC with a special appearance from two-time Grammy winner Patti LuPone, who is set to reprise her 1981 Grammy performance of "Don't Cry for Me Argentina." Dear Evan Hansen's currently nominated Ben Platt will also appear, performing a classic from West Side Story as part of a special Broadway tribute honoring the music of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Leonard Bernstein.
Miranda Lambert, Sam Hunt, Midland, Chris Stapleton, Thomas Rhett and Alison Krauss are among the other country Grammy nominees in 2018. Kenny Chesney is also nominated for a Grammy for Best Country Album for Cosmic Hallelujah, and if he wins, it will be the superstar's first-ever Grammy win.
The 60th Annual Grammy Awards are set to air live on CBS on Sunday, Jan. 28, 2018, at 7:30PM ET.
