Little Big Town Cancel Concerts Following Death in the Family
Little Big Town announced on Monday (Nov. 26) that they have been forced to reschedule two upcoming concerts in Riverside, Calif. and Los Angeles after a sudden death in their immediate family. The group broke the news to fans via their official Facebook page.
The post reads:
Sadly, the Little Big Town family has suffered a loss in their immediate family and will have to cancel their upcoming concerts in Riverside, CA (11/28) and Los Angeles, CA (11/29). Riverside, CA will be rescheduled at a later date and the Los Angeles show at The Wiltern will now take place on February 8, 2013. Tickets for The Wiltern show will be honored on the rescheduled night. The band would like to thank their fans for their understanding and compassion during this very difficult time.
The group recently announced that they will join Keith Urban and Dustin Lynch next year as part of Urban's 2013 North American tour. Beginning on Jan. 31, 2013, LBT will begin headlining their Tornado Tour, which features Kacey Musgraves and David Nail. Little Big Town's headlining is currently scheduled through May 2013.
'Tornado' is an apt description of Little Big Town's whirlwind year. The group scored their first No. 1 hit on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts with the summer smash 'Pontoon,' and later earned their first CMAs honors for Vocal Group of the Year and Single of the Year (for 'Pontoon'). The group's fifth studio album, 'Tornado,' topped the Billboard Top Country Albums chart following its release.
Our thoughts are with the group during this trying time.
