Loretta Lynn Celebrates 87th Birthday With All-Star Friends — See Pictures!
Loretta Lynn celebrated her 87th birthday early at an all-star tribute concert in Nashville on Monday night (April 1), and pictures from the evening show a once-in-a-lifetime lineup paying homage to one of country music's most iconic artists.
Garth Brooks, Trisha Yearwood, George Strait, Keith Urban, Miranda Lambert, Pistol Annies, Alan Jackson, Kacey Musgraves, Margo Price, Brandy Clark, Darius Rucker, Little Big Town, Martina McBride and Jack White were among the stars who performed at Nashville's Bridgestone Area to celebrate Lynn's vast musical legacy with their own renditions of her songs, and Lynn herself took the mic to sing her signature hit, "Coal Miner's Daughter."

Highlights of the night included Jackson and Lee Ann Womack singing "Louisiana Woman, Mississippi Man," Brandi Carlile performing "She's Got You," Darius Rucker in an unexpected performance of "The Pill," White performing "Have Mercy" and Keith Urban singing "Blue Kentucky Girl." Urban provided one of the other highlights of the event when he jumped out of Lynn's birthday cake, fulfilling a promise he made in January when the birthday celebration was announced.

Lynn is turning 87 on April 14. The county icon has been focusing on getting her health back since she suffered a stroke in May 2017, followed by breaking her hip in January of 2018.
"I wasn’t going to let it stop me," she tells People. "You just can’t sit down and say ‘Hey, take me.'"
Lynn released her most recent album, Wouldn't It Be Great, in 2018.
