A Florida mom is facing some serious consequences after getting involved in her teenage daughter's feud with a former friend.

Being a parent is one of the most rewarding things that a person can go through in their lives. With that comes some stress, of course, and some ups and downs, but you always want to love and support your kids.

However, sometimes your teenage kid might get into a situation that they have to get out of themselves, and you cannot and should not get involved.

Mother Arrested After Jumping Into Teen's Fight at Bus Stop

In shocking video out of Florida, via TMZ, a mother is seen attacking a girl for fighting with her daughter at the school bus stop. See video of the brawl shared by the local Sherriff's Department below (Warning: The video contains strong language).

Being that the person who was assaulted was a child, the woman who assaulted her, Kathryn Stephanopoulos, is in some serious trouble currently.

She is being charged with felony child abuse, according to The Miami Herald. Here is where it gets even more interesting. The brawl happened and was captured on video, but nobody was charged.

Then the video was uploaded to social media, the news stations aired it, and she was found and arrested.

“Instead of deescalating the situation, we have a mother who joined in the fray, setting a bad example for her child and those at the bus stop,” said Sheriff Rick Staly.

“She certainly won’t receive mother of the year with her actions," he said. "Parents need to set the example and not be part of the problem. Luckily, no one was seriously injured, but now a mother is facing serious charges for losing control of her temper.”

Turns out that Stephanopoulos' daughter had texted her from the bus on the way home saying that the girls were going to settle a beef today when they got off the bus.

So, Stephanopoulos drove to the bus stop and was waiting there for her daughter and jumped in on the assault of the minor.

During the fight, Stephanopoulos, 34, and the student fell to the ground, where the she allegedly placed the girl in a headlock, restricting her breathing, the girl told deputies afterward.

Stephanopoulos did express "regret and embarrassment" over her actions afterward. After she was booked, she posted a $10,000 bond and was released.

She now faces a felony child abuse charge.
